Diwali Assembly

The PTO Cultural Arts Committee is excited to honor and celebrate the rich, diverse cultures of South Asia and the beautiful festival of Diwali! This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the many countries and cultures that make up our vibrant community.
 
Join Our Celebration!
📆 Date: November 11 th 2025
🕣 Time: 8:15 - 8:45 AM (3rd-5th grade); 9:00 - 9:30 AM (PreK- 2nd grade)
 
Students are welcome to dress in traditional attire to join in the festivities.
 
📣 Share Your Story
We welcome any families who wish to speak about their South Asian heritage or Diwali experiences to present during the assembly. If you are interested in sharing, please email
culturalarts@montgomerypto.com with the country you will be representing, and we will follow up with a time slot.
 
📣 Volunteer to Dance
A short dance practice will be arranged before the performance. Everyone is welcome! If you are interested in having your child or children participate in a performance at the South Asian Heritage/Diwali Assembly at MES, please sign up by 10/8. A choreographed routine will be shared with you to teach your child or children.

📣 Share Your Celebration
We invite all MES families to contribute! Share your family photos, stories, or artwork that reflect your South Asian heritage and Diwali experiences by sending them to culturalarts@montgomerypto.com and we will post them on the bulletin board for all to enjoy.
