Top 2024/25 Accomplishments

Our PTO’s accomplishments showcase the incredible impact we’ve made together this year—raising record funds, enriching every classroom, and building a stronger school community. From cultural events to campus upgrades, your support has powered meaningful change for every student, teacher, and family. 

Raised a record-breaking $305,000

Thanks to a parent-supported Back-to-School campaign, community-focused Fun Run, record-setting Parent Party, generous employer matches, and corporate sponsors, we raised (and kept) more money to benefit our school.  And by deciding to change Fun Run vendors, we'll save $35K next year!

 Pass-through revenue includes yearbooks and event tickets, which are offset entirely by related expenses. 

INVESTED IN Supplies & SaFETY

From Pre-K folders to 5th Grade math curriculum, the PTO equipped every grade level and every department (Art, Music, STEM, PE, Media Center, and more) with nearly $38k in supplies, including first aid kits for each classroom.

RETAINING our staff

To support consistent, well-trained staff year after year, we helped boost our school's strong retention rate through professional development, appreciation gifts, and celebrations. This summer, we're also training every staff member in CPR.

Enriched learning beyond the classroom

The PTO supported STEAM, PE, and literacy with Sphero coding robots, musical instruments, and more. We enabled students to represent Montgomery at district and state interscholastic competitions. Plus, we encouraged every student's Mustang B.E.S.T. with nearly $3K in PBIS incentives.

Hosted 20+ cultural & community events

From Diwali to Lunar New Year, STEAM Night to Fall Festival, we created community-building experiences for every student and family.  Beloved events like the Fall Festival were offset with nominal ticket costs, setting new records for participation along the way. 

beautified & improved Campus SAFETY

We planted and mulched our grounds, added playground tetherball stations, and installed new safety signage and barriers to improve traffic and play areas.

Strengthened governance & transparency

The PTO held more frequent general meetings, shared detailed minutes, improved board record-keeping, and increased accountability across all PTO activities.

Led a digital transformation

We launched a modern PTO website, introduced an online "Montgomery Mercantile" store with mobile payments, secured a branded domain (montgomerypto.com), adopted Google Workspace for Nonprofits, and provided 50 Canva Pro accounts—enhancing communication, privacy, and productivity for years to come.

Our Fourth Grade Market Day raised nearly $4K for PAWS Atlanta, combining real-world learning with real-world impact.
